Rochester ADDY Awards – We Win!

I am the Creative Genius (Art Director) at a full-service digital firm in Victor, New York. It’s only March, and this year has already brought us some great acclaim for our work. Last month, we brought home awards for our client’s sites at the Rochester Business Journal’s Best of the Web awards. We took home awards for real estate markets, retail markets and best of show.

This year was our first appearance at the Rochester ADDY Awards and it’s 20th anniversary.

Join the RAF’s 20th anniversary ADDY Awards Show & After Party to celebrate creative excellence in advertising and the advertising arts. As always, the RAF Board ensures competition is fair and rigorous by recruiting an impartial and discerning congregation of judges from top creative markets. Being blessed with an ADDY is no small feat—it deserves major praise.

It was an exceptional event. Great creative and promotion leading up to the event. Lots of attention to detail and consistent theming. To our delight (and major surprise) we impressed the judges so much with our work that they awarded us a Gold ADDY for our Toyota Scion interactive work and Best of Show for it as well. This marks the first time the Rochester ADDYs have ever had an interactive entry win Best of Show. We humbly accept that honor and were extremely inspired by the wealth of creative talent on display in this competition.

Cocktail reception.

Righteous tunes from the gospel band.

“I’m sure it will be a shock to some that something interactive took Best of Show. But categories are agnostic things — they’re just different canvases. An idea is an idea. And a winning idea is a winning idea.”
— Mike Rovner (judge)

The SHOW is about to start!

400+ top creatives pack out the Hyatt.

Inspiring work on display.

“Every single part had a strategy. And each component was executed extremely well. It just shows where marketing is going in the future.”
— John Topacio (judge)

Live music at the after-party.

“It stayed simple, easy to navigate, fun to play with, engaging, held your attention, and it’s something you’d pass along to your friends because your experience was solid.”
— Mark Bazil (judge)

Acclaim.
