Photo Project: Beauty & Fashion

This was a portfolio-building project for D’Angelo Photo, the models and stylist. It was an incredible experience for me to dive into a style of photography that I hadn’t done much of. For the models, it was a really low-key, comfortable environment for them to experiment without the client’s clock ticking – had this been a commercial assignment. I also owe a lot to our great stylist, hair and MUA, Andrea Bonawitz, for her great vision and attention to detail.

Natural Beauty Shots

The goal with these initial test sessions was to focus on natural looking images that embody beauty and are typical of something you'd see in hair care or skin care advertising. These are all in-studio shots without a stylist.

Fashion Edits

This series of shots were well-concepted and with hair, makeup and wardrobe. Our stylist, Andrea, played a key role in forming these images as we went for a variety of fashion looks. These sessions were both in-studio and outdoors in downtown Rochester, NY.
